RL.11-12.2 Determine two or more themes of a text and analyze their development over the course of the text, including how they interact and build on one another to produce a complex account; provide an objective summary of the text.

Starter:

Complete the cheques activity.
With your table, organize the cheques and develop a short one page story using inferences.
You will be sharing these stories with the class.

For at least three people give a plus and delta.

2.  Graphic Organizing

With a partner, you will create a mind map of the first three chapters.
You can organize the information however you wish, but it must include the following:

One Sentence Summary for EACH chapter.
One Topic Word and Explanation for EACH chapter.
One Significant Quote with Explanation for EACH chapter.
One Theme and explanation for the entire reading so far. 

Closure: 
Predict who the Owens are.

Read chapter four.
