ATTWN Chapter 14

RL.11-12.1 Cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text, including determining where the text leaves matters uncertain.

RL.11-12.2 Determine two or more themes of a text and analyze their development over the course of the text, including how they interact and build on one another to produce a complex account; provide an objective summary of the text.

W.11-12.2 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine and convey complex ideas, concepts, and information clearly and accurately through the effective selection, organization, and analysis of content.  

Obj: I can determine two or more themes and analyze the development of them over the course of the text through the use of objective summaries.

Starter: 

Quiz. Quiz. Trade.

Create a question that you have based on chapter 14.
Write the question down on one side of an index card.
You will use these for your quiz, quiz, trade.

You will divide yourself into groups of four.
Your group will collaborate on completing the I-Chart, so share it between your members.
Each group will be responsible for researching and presenting information on one of the four topics: 

Justice
Judgement
Retribution
Guilt

Determine who will be responsible for each section of the I-Chart.
You need to create at least FOUR HOT questions, and find at least three different sources to research each one.
In addition to the original questions, people should be recording interesting facts and new questions as they continue their research.
Finally, someone needs to summarize the information from the different sources in the final row.
As people are researching, people should also be creating the visual for the presentation. 
Your group is REQUIRED to have a visual which can be either a poster, prezi, Google Slide, etc. 

These are broad topics.
You are responsible for choosing a narrower focus that is appealing to you.
Make sure that everyone in your group shares that same vision and focus to have a cohesive presentation.

Your presentation must include the following: 

Your Topic Word
A Theme That Connects to your Topic
Textual Evidence that Represents your Topic from ATTWN.
Information on your FOUR HOT Questions
At Least ONE Song That Connects with Explanation
One Image that Portrays/Symbolizes Topic
In-Text Citations

It May Help To Establish Roles
2-4 Researches for HOT Questions and I Chart
ATWWN Analyzer and Connector
Visual Creator

2.  Presentations To Follow Tomorrow

For each presentation, write down one fact that you found interesting.
Then, create one question that it raises.

Closure:

Give your group a plus and delta based on how your worked together on the presentation.
